Editorial standards
How to read our listings, understand editorial labels and check the details before booking.
Wasou Wedding Japan combines photographer listings with planning guides for international couples. The information is a starting point for comparison, not a substitute for a current quote or confirmation from the studio and venue.
Five checks before you book
01
Language support
Check the language listed for the studio, then ask who will communicate with you during booking and on the shoot day. An English or Korean version of this site does not mean every studio speaks that language.
02
A complete quote
Ask for the current total in JPY, including clothing, dressing, hair and makeup, location fees and any extras. Listed starting prices are not a quote for your chosen date or package.
03
Relevant portfolio examples
Look at the studio's own recent work for your preferred kimono style, season and location. A general image used to illustrate a guide is not evidence of a listed studio's work.
04
Venue rules and arrangements
Confirm the exact shooting location, any permit requirements, who arranges permission and what happens in poor weather. Public access to a venue does not automatically permit a commercial photoshoot.
05
Booking and delivery terms
Confirm availability, payment and cancellation terms, delivered image counts and delivery dates in writing. Use the studio's current contact details to resolve questions before paying.
What the badge does NOT mean
"Editor's pick" identifies a featured listing. It is not a customer rating, independent certification, evidence of an in-person visit or a guarantee of language support, availability or service quality. Apply the checks above to every studio, including featured listings.
Conflicts and disclosure
This site may earn revenue from advertising or referral links. Booking arrangements are made with the studio, not with this directory. A label such as "official website" describes the destination of a link; it does not certify the studio or guarantee its terms. Please use the Contact page to report an error or request a correction.
